We also offer the option for individuals to voluntarily provide PII when contacting WHM through our website while requesting additional information. Health Records 

In addition to personal information, WHM is required by Maryland State Depart of Education to collect and maintain child’s medical records including updated immunization records. This information is accessible only by authorized persons at WHM and may be released to authorized personals. 

Pictures and Media

At WHM, we utilize the childcare management app called "BrightWheel" to streamline our operations. As part of this process, we capture pictures and videos of children and families, which are included in the daily reports shared with parents through the BrightWheel app. Rest assured that only authorized personnel have access to the BrightWheel parents app, and they handle this data in accordance with BrightWheel's privacy policy. It is important to note that this data is securely stored in the cloud, outside the WHM facility.

On occasion, we may utilize these pictures and videos for advertising and marketing purposes on social media platforms and our Facebook webpages. However, we respect your preferences and offer the option to opt-out. Once your child is enrolled, you have the choice to exclude your child from any pictures and media. If you decide to opt-out, WHM will ensure that your child is not included in any promotional materials. We prioritize the privacy of our families and do not share any personal information with third parties under any circumstances.

Data Security

We at WHM have implanted preventive measures designed to secure your personal and medical information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, and alteration. We have implemented physical, technological, and administrative procedures to maintain confidentiality and integrity of information in our possession to guard against unauthorized access. 

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act

This website is intended for adult use and is not directed towards children under the age of 13. WHM operates the website in full compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and is committed to not knowingly collecting or using personal information from individuals under the age of 13. Our strict adherence to COPPA ensures the protection of children's privacy rights and fosters a safe online environment for all users.
